PASIG CITY — The small size of #farmholdings in the Philippines has always been cited as a key structural reason why Philippine #Agribusiness has struggled over the decades. But if there was a way to integrate the outputs of these farms, the resulting synergies would bring about economic success without abandoning the social justice gains brought about by the Philippines’ #landreform agenda.

In “Scaling Up the Philippine Agribusiness by Integrating Smallholder Farms,” the event held by the Center for Research and Communication last March 18, 2021 under the IGNITE AsiaPacific Series, CRC’s Dr. #BernardoVillegas, with Agri-entrepreneur #PablitoVillegas of Villegas Organiks Agri-Tourism Farm Village, talked about ways to go about this, and about the leadership roles #socialenterprises and co-operatives can take in this innovative way to scale up Philippine agribusiness. • | RE de LEon | CRC ||
