The Center for Research and Communication (CRC) will hold the first of a series of Round Table Discussions on Football with the theme Setting the Roadmap for the Football Industry on April 5, 2013 (Friday) from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Telengtan Hall of the University of Asia and the Pacific. There will be brief paper presentations, followed by open forum and discussions. Through research, we can study initiatives to (a) empower children, women and communities who are disadvantaged and/or facing adversity through football; (b) strengthen the family through the pursuit of recreational football, and (c) encourage transparency and demand accountability from our sports governance institutions. Thus, our aim is to discover the best practices in football as sports, and replicate these in other contexts. The activity is free of charge. Limited slots will be given on a first come, first-served basis. For interested parties, you may contact Marie Uy at (032) 634-5874 / (032) 637-0912 local 350 or email her at [email protected].
